Week Forty-Five
- Maddie enjoyed her first Halloween!
- Had a Halloween party at school with her friends. I was able to leave work a little early to get there and join in the fun too! It was so nice to see her with her friends and having such a good time.
- Had a costume parade at school.
- Trick-or-treated with the neighbors in Jacob's wagon. She seemed to enjoy going house to house and relaxing in the wagon. Maybe next year she will be able to walk to the doors!
- Went to Caden's 2nd birthday party from across the street. She was so fascinated with the balloons and the other decorations. (she especially liked the water bottles!)
- Took another trip to the lake with daddy while I was working the marching band festival. Daddy made the mistake of taking her out of the stroller to get a better look at the ducks. Maddie thought that was permission to pet the ducks and proceeded to scream when she had to go back in the stroller and wasn't allowed to pet the duckies!
- Call duckies, duddies! We play with the duckie toys and read about them during bath time each night. She gets so excited to see them every night.
- Loves the bubble machine that Granny left for her. It sticks to the bath tub and blows tons of bubbles, which Maddie loves!
- Is so smart...when the play telephone rings on her toys, she picks it up and puts it up to her (not always her ear...sometimes its her neck or head or she just throws it over her shoulder) and says, "hi".
- Knows what the dog says. When you ask her what the dog says, she replies: "woo woo"
- Walks with her push toy a little, but stands up on everything!
- Can stand up for almost 30 seconds by herself
- Had to go to the Pediatrician on Halloween for a really bad diaper rash. She usually never gets diaper rash, but after her being on antibiotics and then me being on antibiotics (she gets some through my milk), she was very susceptible to all kinds of stuff. After a few days, she is doing much better!
At the party!
The kids are wearing their messy shirts over their costumes, so they don't get them dirty.

Week Forty-Four
- We missed daddy while he was in Atlanta for the beginning of the week and in Miami for the second part of the week, but we got to chat every night! I know that daddy missed Maddie too.
- Got some big time help from our neighbor Catherine and Grandma who came to the rescue when daddy was in Miami and mommy had a performance with her big kiddos. Catherine picked up Maddie from school and took her home to hang with Jabob until Grandma got there to give Maddie dinner and put her to bed. Thanks!!
- Enjoyed her first annual Preserve at Lake Charm Chili cook off hosted by the awesome Kearny Beale residents! That's right, our crazy street decided to host a neighborhood chili cook off and kids costume parade.
- Loved the chili that I made for her. As I was making my entry for the cook off I made a small pot of kid friendly chili and Maddie absolutely loved it!! It was ground beef, kidney beans, potato, corn, fresh tomatoes, and my kids marinara sauce (blended tomato, zucchini, and carrots).
- Was a hit at the costume parade. She was a pumpkin and rode in style with Jacob in his radio flyer wagon for the parade!
- Stayed with Grandma on Friday night while mom and dad went on a MUCH needed date night. While Maddie was fast asleep, mom and dad were living it up at the sushi bar!
- Had a relaxing Sunday afternoon after a crazy evening on the street. We love our neighbors so much! :) Maddie was fighting a cold, so she enjoyed some long naps!
- Went to Bojangles to see Mr. Richard and dance to the music! We have such a fun time watching the other kids and getting to dance, dance, dance!

Week Forty-Three
- Missed daddy while he was in Chicago for the week, but we talked to him almost every night.
- Had dinner with our neighbor, Amy, and her three boys on night. Her husband was out of town on business too, so we bonded together and had a nice dinner/play date one evening. Her boys loved watching Noah eat the food Maddie dropped on the floor...they thought it was so funny that he eats anything!
- Went to Friendship park and Maddie learned to climb all over the playground! She was absolutely in love with climbing up the stairs and attempting to climb off the jungle gym (good thing I was right there!)
- Laughs just like her daddy...I'm pretty sure he taught her the crazy little chuckle!
- Says all kinds of things...do do, da da, ma ma, ba ba, duh duh and says them all the time.
- Loves to play peek a boo with her bath towel before bedtime. She pulls off the towel and laughs hysterically!

Week Forty-One
- Started to crawl on her hands and knees! She has been army crawling since she was 7 months old and could always rock on her hands and knees, but never crawled with her stomach off the floor.
- Still army crawls when she wants to go somewhere quick....and boy is she quick!
- Went to the mall and took her nine month professional photos. She was so good the entire time!
- Eats her cheerios out of her little snack cup and drinks her water from her sippy cup like a big girl! Now we bring those everywhere we go!
- Plays outside almost every night with the neighborhood kids. She loves hanging out with the big kids and playing with all of their toys, the dirt, and the anything else she can find out there! We are so lucky to live on such a nice street with such nice people!!

Week Forty
- Enjoyed another Saturday daddy/daughter day while mommy was in Lakeland working hard on a project.
- Shawn and Maddie walked down to the lake to feed the ducks, but I don't think he brought enough bread....the geese were a little upset!
- Has started to eat meat. Now that she is nine months old we are introducing meat into her diet. She started out with chicken and so far she loves it!
- Is eating black beans, rice, and cheese....Maddie loves every bite! I put the cheese on top and get it a little melted...she thinks it's great. :)
- Has such a big smile when she sees Mommy pick her up at school! No matter where she is, she stops, claps her hands, smiles, and bounces up and down! It is super cute. :)
- Doesn't like to be by herself after she's been at school all day. Once I pick her up she clings to me pretty tight for the rest of the night. She is fine when I drop her off at school in the morning, but every other time she wants to be with mommy.
- Talks, talks, talks....all day long!
- Says, "Hi" to everyone and everything!
No photos, sorry. :)
