Week Thirty-Nine

  • Had daddy/daughter day on Saturday while mommy listened to all-state auditions.  Maddie and daddy had a lot of fun together!
  • Has started eating much more food at daycare.  She eats her own oatmeal and their fruit for breakfast, about 25% of their lunches each week, and then our cheerios for snack.  They are very accommodating of our food requests, which is so nice!
  • Still love greek yogurt and cottage cheese...she says, "mmmm" whenever you put a spoonful in her mouth!
  • Is making so many arts and crafts at her school....we are going to have to get a bigger fridge!
  • Got her first ear infection...boo!  She is such a happy girl that we never even noticed she wasn't feeling well until she started having yucky stuff come out of her eye!!  Shawn and I took her to the after-hours pediatrics on Monday night and such enough she had a big infection in her left ear.  She was still such a happy little girl. :)

Sorry, no pictures this week.   :)

Week Thirty-Eight

  • says all kinds of things including, mama, dada, dog, hi, ow, and uh oh
  • said, "hi dog" right to Noah.  We are pretty sure that is starting to understand what that means.
  • says "hi" to a lot of things and people all day long.  Occasionally she will wave her entire arm at you as well.
  • makes kissing noises with her lips
  • pulls up on EVERYTHING!
  • can go from crawling to standing in a split second
  • loves to play outside with the neighborhood kids
  • loves to sing and dance.  Anytime I sing songs to her she smiles and claps along.
  • is doing so many neat things at school.  She participates in the story time and songs, eats really well with the other kids at the little tables, takes 2 hour naps on her cot, plays outside, colors and paints, and does lots of sensory activities.  She is learning so much and seems so happy everyday!

Week Thirty-Seven

  • Went to breakfast at the townhouse with mom and dad.  She does so well in the highchairs now, especially when she has food to eat along with everyone else!
  • Had lunch out with the neighbors while all the daddy's had a LONG golf outing!  ;)
  • Picked out some new toys at Target.
  • Played with her new standing activity center and cell phone toy that mom and dad got her at Target.  She doesn't have too many older toys, so we thought we'd treat her!
  • Moves, moves, moves....everywhere!  She is always on the go.  The only time she'll stay long enough to play with something is if she is standing.  Sitting on the floor and playing with toys is not an option in Maddie's world.
  • Is not a huge fan of the jumperoo anymore.  I guess since she can't get out and move around it's not that much fun.
  • Is getting super heavy in the Bjorn.  I have no idea how much she weighs, but I know my back kills me after about 10 minutes in the Bjorn.  This makes grocery shopping a bit harder!
  • Saw Mr. Richard at Bojangles for kid's night.  Maddie loved all the music and the other kids!

Sitting up by herself in the crib.  This is what we wake up to almost every morning. :)

Sitting in Caden's car...he doesn't seem to mind.

Weekend breakfast!

Riding in the car!

Week Thirty-Six

  • Is eating all kinds of table foods.  She absolutely loves greek yogurt and cottage cheese! Her other favorites include: sweet potato, mashed potatoes, brown rice, green beans, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, pears, apples, watermelon, cheerios, and pretty much anything else you give her!
  • Is getting a little bit better at the sippy cup, but still takes her milk in a bottle at daycare.  They tell me that she holds her own bottle sitting up, but I haven't seen that yet.
  • LOVES to eat!  She cleans her tray at every meal and gets so excited for her food.
  • Climbs on everyone and everything.  She is always finding something to climb on and try to stand up.
  • Says all kinds of things....all the time.
  • Went to her first Florida State football party.  Maddie ate her dinner with Jacob outside and enjoyed some good 'ole Southern football watchin'
  • Daddy was on his guys golf weekend, so grandma came over to visit and keep us company.
  • Had lunch at Chili's with grandma and mom.  Maddie enjoyed her sweet potatoes and cheerios while out on the town.
